| Van Wampler is not only a singer/songwriter, but he is a filmmaker and photographer. This site highlights some of the 18 year-old's talents. |
- Singer/Songwriter: A savory stew of rock-n-roll, flavored with jazz, blues, new age, and swing, Van Wampler’s songs delight your musical palate. Van creates sing-along ballads (A Second Past Eternity), mellow rock (Tell Me Lovely Girl), foot tapping jazz (Otherwise Pretend), and new age instrumentals (Anaesthetic). His lyrics speak with passion about love, life, tragedy, and hope. Edge of the Eve, and Hard Times reach out to the victims of hurricanes, war, and other disasters, while songs like Tell Me Lovely Girl celebrate the joy of romantic love.
- Filmmaker: Van's latest award winning film is Yeah... No, which won the Audience Favorite award, as well as Best Comedy at the 2007 Rocky Mountain Student Film Fest.
His film The Quite Depressing Unreliable Story of Erwin Longshanks won the Judge's Award at the 2006 Aspen Local's Short Film Fest in 2006. He also wrote the musical score for the student film Anaesthetic which won Best Student Film at the 2006 Aspen Local's Short Film Fest, and Best Artistic Film at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Student Film Fest.
